Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) combine with nitrogen oxides in the presence of sunlight to form the criteria pollutant ozone. The term "volatile organic compound" referrs to any carbon compound that can react photochemicaly in the atmosphere.
