Electric Generating Unit (EGU)

An Electric Generating Unit (EGU) refers to facilities that generate electricity by means of burning coal, oil, gas, or other fuels. EGU's are one of the sources that are evaluated in the Environmental Protection Agency's National Emissions Inventory.
