Fuel Characteristic Classification System (FCCS)

The Fuel Characteristic Classification System (FCCS) allows users to enter and modify fuel beds from the national fuelbed database offered within FCCS, or create their own custom fuel beds. Given a fuelbed, FCCS will also calculate a numerical value to represent surface fire behavior, crown fire, and available fuel potential index.

Data from FCCS can be directly imported into the Consume modeling system to predict consumption and emissions.
